After you have crossed the border between France and Spain, there are about 190 miles (300 km) left to drive.

If you don't like long hauls by car, why don't you fly to Barcelona (for example with Easyjet), and rent a car from there? From Barcelona El Prat Airport these are some 80 miles (130km) to Gratallops.

And if flying is not your cup of tea, take the train. For example from London to Paris with the Eurostar and from Paris to Barcelona with the Joan Miró. Rent a car at Barcelona Sants station, or take another train to Tarragona, and rent a car in Tarragona.

From Gratallops you will be at the Sea in less than one hour (Cambrils, Costa Daurada). The center of Barcelona is a good 2.5 hours ride.

Don't be afraid of these aparently long distances. The spanish highways are excellent.
